Benjamin Godfre – Designed Perfection

One Nation Magazine decided to tracked down one for the sexiest male models we could find

I get the pleasure of getting up-close and personal with Ben who if you haven’t seen him around ‘where the hell have you been of late’.

Ben’s natural beauty has set him above the competition and landed many a great campaign.

Now while trying to keep my own admiration in check I ask Ben about the ‘real’ him, his military family background and if he thinks it’s what people might expect? ‘As a kid, my family moved around a lot. At first, it sucked really bad because I was having to change schools so often. However, this enabled me to learn skills about making friendships and adapting to new places. I accepted whatever environment I was placed in, and made the best of it every day through a positive mindset. One thing is certain; I will never join the military. If I could take it back, I wouldn’t. Needless to say my childhood would have been a little more stable with out the constant relocation.’ And what have you been up to recently ‘Well I’ve been in Orange County going to school while modeling and skateboarding as much as I can. I work at a restaurant as well and I try to have my life be as balanced as possible.’

We both then looked through some of Bens work and I ask how committed to fitness does he have to be in his line of work? And would he recommend a personal trainer is modeling is a career path you want? ‘My commitment to fitness goes beyond a conscious effort, for it has become the essence of my lifestyle. I love being active, and I think that’s the secret to enjoying exercise. Going to the gym and lifting weights is important, but it’s also important to find an active physical hobby to increase your heart rate and circulate your adrenaline.’

We go on to discuss some of his fantastic photo-shoots and I ask him who has been his favourite photographer (obviously knowing it’s Tom Cullis) and why? plus what’s the best location shoot he’s been on? Ben tells me ‘Tom and I have traveled to Pureto Vallarta, Mexico, Palm Springs, CA, Waikiki, HI; and many more exotic locations in southern California. My favorite shoot was in Hawaii with Diamond Head in the background as the sun set over the peaceful ocean. The smell of flowers was in the air and the warm tropical breeze kept me cool and relaxed the whole time.’

We then talk about his most recent campaign and if he had the choice what would be his ideal campaign? ‘My most recent campaign was for TIMOTEO’s new summer line. He has the HOTTEST new pink underwear! It’s unbelievable and I prefer to wear them when I’m feeling a little lucky. My ideal campaign would be Armani or Dolce’

Would you ever describe yourself as the ‘Boy next door’? ‘I have multiple looks. I can pull the edgy, sexy, badboy look. Or the sweet, innocent, bring-me-home-to-mom look. Either way, my looks can cater to a viewer with a variety of fantasies or preferences. I aim to please and show diversity as a model.’ We then talk about reality model shows, what’s your feeling I ask, do you love them or hate them, and more importantly would you do it?, ‘Reality model shows are degrading toward models. They usually pick the stupidest people to represent the modeling world. On the contrary, models have to be smart and savvy to thrive in the cut-throat world of entertainment and fashion. However, I would go on one if it would let me connect with my fans and friends and show the world how much I love them.’

Cringing of embarrassment I know what my next question has to be, what would you say is the sexiest part of your body Ben? And if you wanted too, what part of your body would you change? Ben replies with confidence ‘The sexiest part of my body is my abs. I work really hard to make sure that I have six of them in a pack as well. I think toned abs are great because it shows a real dedication toward fitness and well being. I would change my feet. I would have them removed and installed with a permanent skateboard.’ We then talk about other male models and I ask him who he looks up to in the industry and who he would love to work too? ‘I look up to other incredible models like Adam Phebus, Ben Kirby, or Brandon G. Those guys have great, individual, and sexy looks’

Talking over with Ben about the huge number of shoots he has done I ask him if he has had any embarrassing moments on a shoot he can tell us about? ‘One time I accidentally caught Tom Cullis’s soft box on fire! It was the weirdest thing, it was like in spontaneously combusted.’ Ben then tells me about what might have happened had a modeling career not been on the cards? ‘If my modeling career somehow didn’t work out, I would still urge to participate in the business either as a stylist, hair, photographer, or publicist. Being the talent is only a SMALL part of what goes into a successful modeling shoot.’

I then move right away from his modeling career and tell him I want to ask him some more intimate questions. Can you tell me who your all-time hero is? ‘Barak Obama!’ he replies without hesitation. ‘He has impressed me by reaching to my age group and caring deeply about the future of our nation.’ Tell me Ben in a world like our today what makes such a charming soft man such as yourself angry? ‘I’m outraged by insurance companies and other large cooperate monopolies who allocate extravagant bonuses for their CEO’s while the people in the united states go with out health care and slip further into financial turmoil’ not what I was expecting at all.

Getting right down to it Ben our readers are going to want to know if you are single or attached (I can imagine what are readers are hoping I think to myself)? ‘I’m happily single and always looking for a close friend or sexual demon’, we both look at each other then laugh. And putting our readers ‘straight’ on your sexuality Ben, you are straight right? ‘I’m straight, single and I love to play the game! I haven’t had a girlfriend for 3 years and I don’t see myself being tied down just yet. I love anyone who is beautiful. But personality is what really gets me!’ I ask him how he feels about all the ‘gay’ fans he has and the attention on the internet ‘My gay fans are my fabulous friends. Duh. I heart them!’

Now if you could pick any 3 women to get stuck on a desert island with whom would you pick and why? ‘If I was stranded on a desert island with Katy Perry I would never stop smiling. If I was stranded Madonna we would be the life of the party. Or if I were stranded with Gisele Bundchen I would always have the butterflies.’

We then move on to talk about the future and I ask what’s the future for Benjamin Godfre is there something you want to try or would love to be asked to do? ‘After I graduate from my college in Orange County, I will continue on my path towards med-school. From there, I will become a Dr. I would like to be asked to travel and use my medical skills to promote health and wellness in less fortunate countries.’

My time then comes to an end with Ben as he is racing off for once again to another shoot, but I manage to squeeze in one last question and it has to be about advice. If someone wanted to get into modeling what advice would you give them and what are some of the pitfalls they should watch out for? Ben tells me ‘The modeling world is for anyone who wishes to market his or her look. My advice would be to network with as many people as possible, while remembering that no job is too little or too big. Karma will get you so make sure to play nice. Watch out for doubt or insecurity, they are only imaginary!’

I thank Ben for a fabulous morning and wish him all the best with his career telling him he should know the One Nation Magazine is behind him – he laughs, only later do I get the joke!
