Bubbling Aces – Armand de Brignac Champagne

Armand de Brignac is a Prestige Cuvée produced in the traditional, old-world style, from grape to glass.

Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is their flagship cuvée, a singular example of French Champagne tradition. Marvelously complex and full-bodied, its bouquet is both fresh and lively, with light floral notes. On the palate, Armand de Brignac has a sumptuous, racy fruit character that is perfectly integrated with the wine’s subtle brioche accents. The champagne’s texture is deliciously creamy, with great depth paired with a long, silk finish.

Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is pressed from a perfectly balanced blend containing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier wine.

Aged in a special section of the cellars, 119 steps (30 meters) underground, considered among Champagne’s deepest. Remuage (riddling) done by hand in traditional wooden racks; bottles are turned slightly by hand each day for a full month.

The unmistakable gold plated Armand de Brignac bottle has its roots in the French fashion industry and its reputation for opulence. Originally conceived by the celebrated André Courrèges fashion house, the striking bottle is decorated at a single site in France’s Cognac region and is fitted with four pewter labels that are hand-applied to the surface of the bottle. Each paperless bottle is wrapped in a lush, embroided velvet bag stitched with the bottle’s signature insignia.

Armand de Brignac Champagnes have been rated 98/100 points by world‐renowned critic José Peñín, a 4.9 out of 5 score from writer Kåre Halldén, 9/10 points from critic Davor Butkovic. They have also been praised by Italian wine critic Alberto Lupetti, Swedish critic Kåre Halldén, U.S. critics Tim McNally, Arturo Ciompi (5/5 stars), and Gil Lempert‐Schwarz, and The Tasting Panel and Wine & Spirits magazines, among others.

The result is a Armand de Brignac package that is a pleasure to see, to hold, and of course to taste!
