Oki-ni Sale And AW 09 Arrivals
As the Oki-ni sale’s coming to an end, and you’d be silly to miss some of the final reductions their Autumna/Winter ‘09 deliveries are starting to arrive thick and fast.
The One Nation Magazine thought we’d give you a quick round up of what’s been happening over the last couple of days including the launch of a new Japanese jewellery brand Chaos as well as the first new season drops from Jil Sander and Margiela.
Chaos
Chaos Design Co. is a Japanese jewellery brand based in Kagawa, on the island of Shikoku. The brand was established in 1993 and has worked in collaboration with some of Japan’s top tattoo artists to create jewellery with a very real and distinct style. The references stem from original heritage tattoo prints and the style in which they are executed give a very raw and edgy feel. Exclusively available online through oki-ni.com outside of Japan.

Jil Sander
Jil Sander was founded in 1973 and has since built a reputation for understated and sleek designs cut in luxurious fabrics. The minimalist trademarks include striking silhouettes, high-end fabrics and meticulous detail which emphasizes modern masculinity and refined craftsmanship. Raf Simons joined the company in 2005, taking the position of Creative Director. His collections embody the Jil Sander brand’s core values and hold true to its history

Autumn/Winter ‘09 SEASONAL
Encapsulating the essence of tailored menswear; high collared slim line outerwear fitting close to the body. Knits are oversized, a rounded shoulder and dropped arm make for a more unstructured silhouette and a ’scuba’ top add technical fabric to the mix. Otherwise, fabrics and finishes are high luxury, the softest merino wools and alpaca, woven jacquards and structured herringbone.
Maison Martin Margiela
Martin Margiela was born in Belgium in 1957, graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1980. His work is closely associated with the deconstructionist fashion movement of the 1980s. Margiela’s work is characterised by a poetic appreciation of imperfection, personality and eccentricity. His collections have been presented on tube platforms and street corners. He says ‘My main inspiration has always has been the extremities and changes of daily life.’

Shown on models lined up as if in a police identity parade, the collection took inspiration from 70s detective and cop uniforms with hardwearing high cut ankle boots, a long and voluminous camel trench and preppy knits
