Trevor Adams Eating Plan Helping You To Boost Your Performance
The Summer is coming up, so what can we do for our ab area?
First and foremost, lets lay off the bread, the most complex carb of them all. Its harder for your body to metabolize bread and it takes a few days, so its sitting in your stomach as storage for that amount of time, hence the name, bread basket and its the worst food you can eat if your wanting to firm up the midsection. Eat in moderation and get the white thinly sliced bread, toast it, (dehydrates them) makes you eat less for some reason and its a “filler” so you get full quick. The same with fruits, they make you feel full and are healthy.
Fats aren’t the best things to eat either but in moderation the body actually burns the fats quicker then the carbs or the protein. So that’s the good news; fats are the first to go. We’ve heard of the good fats, (unsaturated fats) that we can get from peanuts and avocados, its the bad fats, (saturated fats, trans fats) that we have to avoid. These are most common in the fast foods that some of us like to eat out of convenience. What’s convenient now may not be as convenient down the road for our health’s sake.
We all for the most part have switched to the diet soft drinks and hopefully skim milk. But what about the juices that we like to drink? We know that they come with all the essential nutrients that the sodas don’t have but with the same high calorie content. Don’t forget to get diet juice too; yes they have them.
How about the lean meats? Turkey, fish and chicken. Leave out the pork and red meat and you’ll live longer, or so they say; it’s high in fat.
Lastly, some people LOVE to use the excuse that a glass or two of red wine or any “alcoholic” beverage is good for the soul. While the wine may have the spirits to keep your soul in check and take your mind of the current economic issues, let it be known that alcohol is second to fat in having the second highest level of calories per gram. Fat has 9 calories per gram while alcohol has 7, above carbs and protein, each having 4, hence the name, “beer belly.” Remember only takes 3500 calories to equal a pound of fat and some of us can get there quicker than others. With some careful planning you can offset this with a great diet and workout plan that you will find more than beneficial. Wishful thinking, hope this helps.
