Utility Design Liverpool – Fritz Hansen Swan Chair, Limited Edition

Utility opened their first store in Liverpool way back in 1999 with an experimental range of products from both independent designers and makers and some of the larger brands such as Alessi and Kartell.

Over the past few years they have expanded from their original store to two larger stores, both on Bold Street. The larger store (Number 60) is an interiors store where you will find the city’s very best range of contemporary furniture, lighting and home accessories from all the leading Italian suppliers as well as a many others.

In addition is the Gift Store (86 Bold St.) where you’ll find a gorgeous, inspirational range of cool greetings cards, jewellery, watches and great items for giving… and treating yourself of course! (Utility have also opened a further gift store in the gorgeous Victorian Miller Arcade, Preston.)

The online store utilitydesign.co.uk – was launched way back in January 2004 to offer their products to a wider audience… and to customers who can’t get to the shop because they live outside Liverpool.

Utility product range includes such brands as ALESSI, A DI ALESSI, ALESSI OFFICINA, JESSE, KARTELL, VITRA, E15, ETHNICRAFT, LSA, FLOS, FOSCARINI, ARTEMIDE, BESTLITE, MOOOI, KUNDALINI, LIGHTYEARS, TOM DIXON, LUCEPLAN, MAGIS, VIPP, MONDAINE and many many others.

But what we found incredible about this company is that because they are dealers for many of the world’s leading furniture brands they are able to source a huge range of products. The special limited edition version of the original Swan Chair from Fritz Hansen, created to celebrate 50 years since the launch of the original Swan Chair which was created by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.

This limited edition version of the Swan Chair comes in white leather on a pearl white base with a unique number engraved on a sterling silver bracelet pendant which is attached to the stem.

Only 1958 pieces of this limited edition have been made and these are sold on a first come first served basis. Grab a great deal – reduced from £5,712.00 to £4,855.20.
